Firefox for Maemo devices

A few short years ago the concept of a Firefox smart phone browser seemed very unlikely, but today it's very much a reality now with Mozilla’s announcement of Firefox Mobile for Maemo. This will be the first official release of Firefox Mobile for Nokia's Linux based smart phone operating system.

Firefox, the open source web browser offering from Mozilla, has become one of the most popular desktop web browsers across the globe, which offers a wide range of free to use applications that enhance the functionality of the browser.

BT broadband Packages on offers. BT total broadband offers complete broadband solutions with 20 Mb download speed, BT home hub and Free Wi-Fi.

Firefox Mobile also offers adequate browsing performance, support for add-ons, and a finger-friendly user interface that also includes popular Firefox features like the AwesomeBar, Weave Sync, Location-Aware Browsing, Tabbed browsing etc.

Just as Firefox does for the desktop, Firefox Mobile provides a platform for developers to create rich applications. Developers can use the latest Web technologies like HTML5, CSS and JavaScript to improve, modify and customize the browser.

Mozilla eventually hopes to bring Firefox Mobile to several operating systems, but has largely focused on Maemo and Windows Mobile during the early stages of development.

Bringing Firefox to mobile devices is looked upon as the next step toward fulfilling Mozilla’s mission of providing one Web that everyone can access, regardless of device or location!
